My name is Melody. I am a photographer, dancer, choreographer, & content writer who loves to wear many hats, keep active, and learn for the sake of learning. As an arts and business student in college, I found myself using photography to connect my numerous interests and areas of study. Photography quickly became a means to capture the important and meaningful moments in my life, which transferred into an excitement to do so for others. Whether you are looking for portrait, couples, family, or creative content for your business, I desire to come alongside of you and ensure that the photos your receive are exactly what you envision and more.
I mentioned that I like to wear many hats. Check out some of my other passion projects below!
Dance Choreography & Performance
My dance training began at age four and led me to attend Grand Valley Stat University as a dance major. While at GVSU, I had the privilege to perform pieces by Kathryn Alter, Richard Bowman, Ann Sofie Clemmensen, Bryn Cohn, Francesca Harper Project, Mina Estrada, Marlayna Locklear, Joshua Manculich, Leslie Scott, Takehiro Ueyama, and Jesse Zaritt. After graduating from GVSU, I was an artist in the Michigan Emerging Graduate Artists (MEGA) Exhibition at Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) 2017, where live performances of my work was also presented in Summer 2017.

I have the honor to be the Web Chair for The Army of Survivors, an organization created by survivors of Larry Nassar for survivors of sexual assault & abuse. Our vision is to create a culture where those who have experienced sexual assault or sexual abuse feel safe and supported when speaking their truths. Resources, advocacy, and education are our three main areas of work.
